New Year’s Auggie Adventures
12/30/18
I had breakfast. I had quesadilla for lunch. I packed up in Auggie. I am going to Babler State Park.
I sat around the fire. I played a game phase ten and I beat mom. I had rice and chips
New additions to Auggie! New awning to keep our shoes dry and a non-tip feeding box made by Eric for Gus.
(We also have a brand new composting toilet also built by Eric that we will spare our dedicated readers a photo of) 🙂

I watched a movie about hockey named miracle. It was raining in the morning. I stood around the fire.
I played Yahtzee. We stayed up until midnight for New Year’s Eve. I got lots of snacks. My favorite was the chips.
[from Cheryl: We all had an assignment this trip to think back on 2018 and name the most positive, memorable events over the year that we were grateful to experience. We are so fortunate to be able to pick from so many!! We also named several goals we had for ourselves for the coming year. Below is Jack’s list and mine. (Eric wishes not to post his publicly but also participated; this was a fantastic exercise for all of us) ]

You beat your Mom at Phase 10! Well done Jack! It’s so incredible how well your granola business is doing! You should be proud! It also makes me smile that Eric is such an awesome guy and treats Cheryl and Jack with such a kind, protective and passionate heart. Cheryl- I just started reading Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty. Feel free to read with me and we could knock out one of those ten books off your to do list!
I admire you and the adventures you take!
Well Jack, it sounds like you have had a busy and productive year! It’s been so much fun hearing about your adventures in 2018. Thank you for being a part of our Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings and our vegetable garden project. Best of luck with your granola business and Auggie Adventures in the coming year! Pam
